<DescriptionText><text>
A Scan AOM (SAOM) waveform must be calculated before any imaging-related
operations can be performed. This is performed automatically on power up. The
scan command provides facilities for calculating the waveform and calibration of
the Scan Generator Electronics (SGE).
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
<scan>
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
Displays information about the SAOM profile.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
<scan gen>
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
Calculates the waveform used by the SGE to generate the SAOM frequency sweep.
Since this calculation is performed automatically upon power up, this command is
not normally necessary. However, if any of the NVS parameters listed below are
changed, this command must be executed for the new values to take effect. The
relevant NVS parameters are:
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
center_frequency - (set hdp fc)
sweep_time - (set hdp ts)
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
<scan cal>
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
Copies the NVS calibration parameters for the SGE subsystem to the SGE board.
This is performed automatically by all spot, stroke, and plot commands when they
are started. The relevant NVS parameters are:
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
sge_sin_bias - (set hdp sbias)
sge_cos_bias - (set hdp cbias)
sge_gain_balance - (set hdp gbal)
rf_power - (set hdp rfpow)
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
Note: It is not necessary to recalculate the sweep (i.e. scan gen) if these
parameters are changed.
